How to Make Flash Chilled Iced Tea

    A simple ritual for a perfectly refreshing glass of black tea—bright, smooth, and ready in minutes.

    You’ll Need:
    Fresh water • Loose leaf black tea • Infuser or T-Sac • Ice • Your favorite glass


    1. Heat the Water
    Bring fresh water to just off a boil (about 200–212°F)—perfect for black tea. or adjust water temperature for your specific tea.

    2. Measure the Tea
    Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8 oz of water
    (For a 16 oz glass, use 2 teaspoons.)

    3. Brew It Strong
    Place your tea in an infuser or T-Sac and set it in a heat-safe measuring cup.
    Pour hot water over the leaves, using half the usual amount of water to create a rich concentrate.
    (For a 16 oz iced tea, use 8 oz of hot water.)
    Watch the leaves unfurl and release their color—it’s part of the ritual.

    4. Steep
    Let steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on how bold you like your tea.

    5. Prepare the Ice
    While your tea is steeping, fill your glass all the way to the top with ice.

    6. Finish the Brew
    Remove the infuser or T-Sac.

    7. Make It Yours
    Add a touch of sweetness or a splash of milk if you like.

    8. Flash Chill
    Pour the hot tea slowly over the ice.
    Listen for that soft crackle as it chills instantly—transforming into a smooth, refreshing glass.

    9. Sip & Enjoy
